Yes, this field trip goes a bit too far. But, at the same time, parents could choose not to allow their children to attend this field trip. In high school, there was a trip to the county courts planned - not to watch a wedding, but to have a tour that highlighted aspects of the court system. Such a tour, designed for young elementary school students, would be more of a learning experience.

I wonder if the Brethren have been pushing for mothers to be more educated, in the last few years, because we're going to have to home school our kids if Prop 8 doesn't pass..
Oh, yeah I've seen that. We're all supposed to donate 16 hours to cold calling about the issue. It's sooo huge here. We're posting so much on facebook, and text messages and just everywhere. Wed. a lot of us YSA went to a Prop 8 rally.
Yeah, maybe- I definately will homeschool if it doesn't! @-@
So, because of my innate laziness I'm going to be busy volunteering now instead of 14 years of teaching my kids in the future full time.
