Twenty-Fourth Drop: moving forward always

Dec 11, 2009 22:39

It is my hope that no one was trapped underground...I was not able to observe the entire ordeal of digging out. Perhaps I was fortunate to not have gone through the gaps in the barrier, but the rain of blood was not so pleasant. It is a sensation I have not often felt, not since those years ago ( Read more... )

I'm pleased to hear you made it alright through this event despite it's unpleasantness.

I don't know about positions available underground as I avoid the underground whenever possible but I do hope you find something agreeable.

...Perhaps you should thank Penny and Thomas Raith, for convincing me not to go past the barrier. I like to think that I would have dug myself out, but who knows.

Thank you. I'm sure I will find something. Are you well after the chaos, Inara?

It was very tempting. I gave in before I realized the rips weren't what they appeared to be.

I'm as well as can be expected. I will be alright. Thank you.

...If you need to get away from the City, the Lighthouse is a refuge that is always open. I am the only living man there -- ah, for some definitions thereof.

This case list is an incomplete record of crimes committed in the City. Culprits' names are included where possible. Most of what I know conclusively and without question is there.

Gabriel...perhaps this "Gabriel Sylar" is the man who just came back. And if he is a killer...hmm. I wonder if it is best that he not know.

I assume Thomas Raith recovered himself since then. Otherwise, he perhaps should not be with us.

I noticed that Yuri isn't listed. When Emil and Ruca switched bodies, Yuri killed Emil's body, then contracted some kind of...power...that started a rampage. I am unsure as to Yuri's condition now.

(ooc: good grief, the master list is gone and I can't find Yuri's full name.)

I wouldn't recognize him. If he isn't a threat and has no memory of killing, there's no compelling reason to tell him.

Raith was repentant.

I'm not familiar with the event you're describing. Did this happen recently?

Quite. Something on the order of 2-3 weeks ago at most. Emil has some kind of 'alternate self' and a power that lives within him that allows him to fight, since he himself does not know how to and has little desire to. Something about it gets transferred to the person that kills him, and thus Yuri gained the bloodlust. It was during the 'variety curse' set of days, where people were afflicted with different curses.

If you need more info about Rip van Winkle... then I can probably help?

Ah! Yes, anything you have would be most desirable. What do you know?

Well- she uses a musket. Not the normal kind, though. I think it's got some kinda spell on it or something. Still researching into that, but... I'm pretty sure it can kill almost anything fleshy.

Anyway. I'm also pretty sure one of her allies is Road Camelot, too. Not a hundred percent proven, but she's still someone to be wary of, anyway. That's just from what I've gathered so far.

And... we had Rip captured, but- she managed to escape. It's hard to tell how powerful she is now, considering. But I'm workin' on it! I'm still going through network posts and trying to get through some of less unhackable filters, so.

I wondered why she never let go of that musket. We had a hand-to-hand sparring match, once, and she refused to put it away, just agreed not to fire it. It was...a bit ridiculous at the time, but now I understand. I know that her physical strength is quite good, but doesn't seem tremendously superhuman. Without the musket, I think I could pose, if not a threat, at least a challenge without a weapon. And I am quite skilled at marksmanship.

Road Camelot. Give me a link?

You captured her? And how did she escape? Are you allied with Integra?

Thanks for sticking around the City, Sorrow. It was better than being buried alive, right? Even if the blood thing was a mess?

...Thank you for convincing me. I was quite close to finding a boat to go outside.

Watching the City rise out of their graves was, admittedly, one of the more unnerving things I've seen here. The blood was a mess, but it was contrived. Something out of a film. Something easier to deal with.

Are you well now, Penny? Did you remain here also?

Well... thanks for being convinced.

I'm good. And yep, stayed in the City. Billy's back and things, so leaving would've been rude.

Ah, yes, so I saw. He didn't seem as talkative as usual, unless I was off-putting the last time I spoke to him. It was under strange circumstances, that much is true.
