Interesting. I had considered going for that A+ certification, too, though it is kinda pricey. Around here there are several different programs -- some very hands-on, some entirely textbook.

David did a program that was three certifications in two weeks, and he passed all, though he just barely passed the network cert. I was much more interested his experience with the A+ Security and Network than in the standard A+ program. I would have spent more time flipping through his books if I didn't have my reading to get done for my own classes.

And pricey yes.... I believe he paid about 5K for the two week program -- and he actually went to California for it, because there wasn't anything nearby soon enough. For THAT price, I would definitely want some hands on experience. I can read the damn books myself.... they seem quite readable from what I saw.
