i've been staring at the same rock for two weeks.

stupid, boring rock.

this weekend i got my revenge. first i got to grind into it, then i drove right over it.

okay, i admit it, i had fun. i'd like to do more of this autonomous navigation thing. i knew i didn't really need nasa telling me what to do.

So, was that you or your sister on the cover of the Weekly World News?

She'll have to answer that, but I'm pretty sure it was Spirit that was being referenced in today's Foxtrot.

Yes, Spirit, we know you'd rather be bringing down the house with power chords. You'll have your day. In the meantime, you'll have to settle for making international scientific headlines.

Now that I've seen the Weekly World News link, though, gotta be Spirit. Really, can you see Opportunity pulling a goth stunt that cool?

I'm glad to have found your journal!

your sis had the astonomy pic of the day today (http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap040210.html) but I bet you'll have it tomorrow since you're actually using power tools on Mars!

It's, like, so totally cool that you're the first person ever to deface a rock on another planet. It's too bad NASA caught you trying to take the spray paint with you. Still, the little burnt-looking patch around the drill hole is a nice accent to your work.
