Shadows twisting and twirling, slowly towards their destruction they're hurling.

Well, I've been writing again, bear with me as I struggle with creativity.
Anyway,
Tomorrow I hope to put up some Zelda stuff (and I do hope that it inspires inuyashacooks  to get off her ass and work on WAL) and maybe some Alice in Wonderland stuff...

Psh, yeah right.

So here's a little somethin' I'm working on. I would love some feedback.

I'm a child born from emotion or pain,
I tumble down your cheek without complain,
My life is quick but I don't care,
Because you've taught me that it's not fair.

Bellum / Sheik (female) / Great Cataclysm

The woman stared at the beast with dead eyes, a few survivors beside her. They didn't stand a chance, the thin black tentacles twisting their bodies until everything sat at odd angles. Sheik was the only one left now, her hands clenching too tight on her daggers. Bellum made an odd noise (similar to the sound of wood splintering) which the Sheikah could only assume was laughter. This was the end of Hyrule as she knew it, the flood had already claimed so much.

She didn't struggle as the tentacles wrapped around her, not a sound escaping from her as Bellum tore her apart.

Warmth

It was a few hours after Ganondorf's defeat, the few remaining soldiers celebrating with an overjoyed Princess and a silent Hero. One soldier weaved through the crowd, touching Link's shoulder. The helmet hid his face, the armor covered his frame easily. He tugged the Hero away until they were out of sight, the soldier sighed. Suddenly his helmet was off to reveal crimson eyes and a tanned face, Link smiled. “Sheik...”

And then something happened; the Sheikah smiled, filling Hero with an indescribable warmth.

Sunset

Sheik laid back on the roof, staring at the sinking sun. Link was sitting beside him, staring too, but not at the sun. “Sheik... Why is it that we can exist together so well?” the Sheikah sat up, looking at the Hero. The crimson eyed man smiled softly, taking Links' pale hand and holding it. “You are the cloudless night and I am the desert midday, one can not exist without the other.” Sheik smiled at Link, the Hero taking a moment to think about what was just said.

Secrets

Link frowned, fingers numbly working over a wound in his leg. A soft thump caught his attention but he did not react. “…Sheik?” the Hero continued to pry at the deep gash on his calf. The slender Sheikah sat quietly beside the Hylian, sighing. “You should disinfect it before you heal.” The tanned ninja stared at Link, eyes harsh. The shy man-child took the glare in stride, licking his lips and laughing childishly. Sheik frowned, sliding the salve from the pouch hidden behind the worn tabard. The hero took the bottle gently, deliberately brushing against the Sheikah’s fingers; the ninja recoiling quickly. “Idiot boy.” The ninja swore quietly. Link laughed, leaning over and tugging on the flimsy piece of cotton that hid Sheik from the world.

“I may be an idiot boy…” he smiled, letting go; the flustered ninja frozen in shock. “but at least I know things that most would ever dream about.”
