[Yes, Minatsuki wants to try to talk to that, mostly because the years have given herself and Kanna somewhat of a mutual immunity; as bitchy and sharp-tongued as they remain to each other, out of her few... Allies? Comrades? Kanna is one of them.]

[she doesn't look up from her work to give Minatsuki anything even remotely close to a greeting, but some of the smoke nearest to where she is dissipates slightly. ...or just moves away, it's hard to tell.]

Damn thing keeps breaking down. I can't figure out which part is causing it.

[there's a brief pause, before she turns to glare at the air to her side.] Oh shut up, you know as well as I do that the damn thing is old.

[She's used to Kanna looking like she talks to herself by now, and crosses her arms, observing the motorcycle.] Sure they won't wind up banning you from riding the damn thing anyway?

Who knows? They haven't so far, but I haven't used it much, either.

[the motorcycle itself is clearly old, and almost none of the parts match in color, not even the interior bits-- some are black and bronze while others are rusted or chrome, like something that had just been tossed together at the last minute.]

[even Kanna doesn't pay attention to him. except when he decides to be an annoying old man. like today. he keeps pointing out that the bike probably won't start working again, and at the moment, Kanna would dearly like to have him exorcised.

for the first time though, she looks away from the parts and glances up at Hao briefly.]

I found some... not much. They're old, but they might be better than nothing.

[despite not knowing or caring to know how a motorcycle functions, he stands behind her to peer over her shoulder, surveying the mass of parts and pieces. spirit of fire toddles behind him as per usual, giving some semblance of an miffed charmander face in Ashcrofts general direction.]

[she runs one of her hands--ungloved, for once, if only to avoid getting grease on them--over the parts already set aside, an almost fond gesture. she might not have known how a proper bike worked, but she knew how hers did. none of the parts properly matched, some didn't even look the proper size, but it had worked.]

It's been too long.
