Man, I swear... on the days I go out with the specific purpose of finding people to hang out with, I can never seem to run into anybody. But on those rare times when I actually have something to do and/or time constraints, I manage to find plenty of people. I went to Livingstone's on my lunch break and saw gynocide and selfamused just as I was leaving to head back ( Read more... )

I had oral surgery before getting my braces (I'm talking more than just getting my wisdom teeth pulled, although, they did that at the same time).
Recovering from that caused me to lose 10 to 15 pounds; which I had finally just been able to gain.
It took over a year to gain it all back (learning to eat with a jaw separator and then braces was kinda tricky). I have since stayed a steady 200 pounds. I need 20 more pounds and I'll be at my ideal weight for my height.

i used to be skinny. I used to be fat.

I wasn't any happier skinny or fat. So I just be. Weight isn't an issue to me anymore. Shit. I even like big women over skinny women. The only rule I have is that if I stand up, look down and I can't see my dick, then it's time to lose some weight. that's my limit. hehe

btw. I lost a bunch of weight on The Zone diet about 5-6 years ago, the one that's popular now, not the Atkins diet. Anyhow. it was easy. just watch the cholesterol and find 30 mins of activity daily.

other: getting dumped. I hardly ate a thing for over a month and lost the 20 lbs I gained while dating him.

Weightloss method: Be a student. I get up and am too groggy to eat. I don't have time to eat on campus, so it's only dinner scrounged of free bagels with veggies.

usually.

Hey, though: going vegan or vegetarian, if you do it correctly, is NOT a weight loss method. The cheap and easy sort of veg-ism involves eating all sorts of bread/grain carbs, which like to turn into fat. that's why people use the all-protien diet to lose weight. I think.

Well, then it looks like I just might have the change to try ALL of the dieting methods I mentioned (except for the BAD one, of course)... school starts on Monday. ;) Although I doubt I'll go completely vegetarian, I definitely do need to start integrating more of the greens into my daily routines. Oooh, I feel like Disco Stu when I rhyme like that.

Hey, I remember that!  My weight fluctuated between 68kg and 76kg in six months.  That frightened me.

I'm now nearer 78, which is good for 1.87m.

Conversions:

68kg -- 150lbs
76kg -- 168lbs
78kg -- 172lbs

1.87m -- 6'2" (roughly)

The technique which worked really well for me (lost 67 lbs in eight months or so) was to cut all preservatives and artificial / modified ingredients out of my diet. Actually, it was funny, because I had no intention of losing weight, but when I cut all that crap out of my food, the pounds just melted off of me at a ridiculous rate, and without me increasing my level of physical activity at all.
