so we went to florida. it was nice sometimes, but unfortunately the weather was not conducive to skydiving, so ben, ray, and charli didn't get to do that. we did however get to go to busch gardens for free and ride the new insane rollercoaster. i have pictures of that, but they're not on photobucket yet so i can't post them yet. we went to the beach twice. ben had a birthday party with his family, their friends, and a few y.o.u. people (kyle fleming, bob crandall and girlfriend stephanie, alissa for a short time, jeff king and kate [lastname?], and i think that's all). it rained some of the time
we've been hangin out in nashville since we got back sunday night. we went to the craft center with ben's friend ozz, just to show him around and check on our peppers. it stormed big time and we went to chilango's with chase and tj. ozz and chase interacting was a bit insane--they have a similar sense of humor, so it was like goofiness overload. i decided which house we should get. it's the one on parkway (avenue? drive? whatever)...it was a very tough call, but as long as the inspection goes well, that's the one we'll get.
*JOHN AND LESLIE: we made an offer on the house, as of this afternoon. they did say that there's another buyer seriously interested in that house, but they haven't made an offer on it yet, so hopefully this will deter them and they'll go find another house (like the other one we looked at), if they find out we made an offer and decide to one-up us, there could be some kind of battle. then maybe we'll just go after the other house...but i want this one now! anyway...it will be contingent on the house meeting inspection and the appraisal being the same or higher than their asking price. once that checks out, we have to complete the loan process and make downpayment, then negotiate the closing. i'd like to believe that all that will be complete in a week, but somehow i doubt that. see if you can crash with parents or grandparents until it all goes through, and if not, our friend sandy lives in m'boro and has a nice apt that is designed for students (no credit check, no minimum lease, etc) and her unit has another bedroom in it that is not currently rented (the complex can assign her a roommate if she doesn't find one herself first). you could get that on a one month lease for $375 if you can come up with the money. if not, perhaps she'd be willing to illegally stash you on her futon for a while. and if not that, then ben and i will be off to ny on the 15th, then living in pigeon forge when we get back to work at dollywood so both our parents will have some extra room and perhaps they'd let you stay there. in fact, i think both of our parents will have enough room for you to put your stuff in there instead of in storage (assuming you pack it very tightly), or put your stuff in one house and live at the other, or with sandy or whatever... and hopefully we'll be set to move in by early july at the latest, so you'd only be in a "temporary housing arrangement" for 2-3 weeks. i wish you wouldn't have to do it at all, but it'll work out fine, in whatever way it ends up working out. and it'll be a great house! i can't wait for all the red tape and legal stuff to be done so we can just move in. it looks like rent (mortgage) at the house will be about $560/mo divided by the four of us; i.e. 140/person or 280/couple, plus a share of utilities.
what else is new...hmmm...we've been seeing ozz a lot i guess. he went to the craft center with us on monday, we went with him to he and ben's friend's house (jennifer and callie). yesterday we had to drive to middle of nowhere tn (south of m'boro somewhere i think...maybe it was west of m'boro i dunno) to get demo stix from lance so we can take them to our ny festival. then we stopped at the boro to see jesse and sandy and made some "pasta putenesca" (sp?) (think lemony snickets) for lunch, then came back up to nasvhlle to go looking for phillip again--and jump around like kids on his trampoline. we saw a deer in the distance but i don't think it was him. so we looked at the lake, then went back to ben's because ozz's girlfriend sarah was waiting there.
then we all 6 went out to eat sushi. sarah tasted only 1 piece. then more jumping on the trampoline. sarah didn't jump. then ozz and sarah were here, and then at jenn and callie's, then drama ensued and they were driving and walking and coming back here and then leaving again...so eventually ozz was droppped off here and i fell asleep on the couch, jesse and sandy left, i went down to ben's bed, and when we woke up ozz was still here--on the trampoline.
so we made ourselves some breakfast (french toast with improvisational apple butter-brown sugar syrup that i invented because there was no maple syrup, and seasoned ham) . sarah dropped by for a few minutes because she was nearby (i really don't picture them as a couple. they're too different, and they've been fighting or something i guess lately but seem like nothing's wrong when i see them together, yet they don't really act like they're together.... ben agrees. hmm). then we ran errands and ate *all-you-can-eat sushi buffet at ru-san's!!!* for lunch. dropped ozz of at jenn and callie's again, and we've basically been hangin around the house since then. aaaand, jennifer just dropped ozz off here again, hahaha. we've adopted him i think, which is a good arrangement- he's fun. so that brings us up to the present so i'm done. bye!
