I think you are handling this very well. It's hard to deal with someone who you are realy trusting as being serious and they aren't thinking the same way on the other side. But thought I know you are in pain, I'm glad you aren't hurting yourself. It seems so many people think that's the right way out, and I think you've grown up past that--Which is great. ^_^
Oh, and if you spike your hair, you know one person who will be supportive. I <3 spiked hair. It's incredibly sexy. MWAHAHAHAHA...
And why dye your hair black? It is almost black as it is because it is so dark. *shrug*
