I’m a big girl. I am. I know I am. No one actually knows it more than I do. But there are reasons for my size, some of which I can’t help (thx, genetics!). I’ve been thinner, never thin-and to maintain chunky-thin nearly killed me

People who hire for in-home personal assistants tend to be insane. (Not all of them, just many of them.) I applied somewhere and the woman didn't hire me because I had to share a washer in my apartment complex, meaning that she couldn't give me the soap I'd need to use on all my clothes all the time because it would get contaminated with Other People's Stuff.

What a clueless bitch she is! How limited her view of the world is. Please do not beat yourself up for being sad about this...the last thing you need is another layer of guilt. It's HER loss, and she's the one who's wrong. It's prejudice, period, and she's an idiot.

You know, it's funny you posted this today, because I just saw something on TV last night that made me say out loud, "Why are so many life coaches the last person whose advice you should ever take on anything, much less, oh, LIFE?"

I feel deeply sorry for the misguided people who pay this woman to "coach" them. Wow. That said, I'm sorry that happened to you. It's just ridiculous. Also, like you already know, you are much better off knowing now rather than working for her then finding out. Your energies are much better spent finding an appropriate job. Ridiculous.
