I'm really REALLY glad I'm done babysitting tonight.
I mean, my kid's moms' bed is FREAKIN' AWESOME but I don't think I can take another day of this:
Kid:
"I really need to study for my Latin / Physical Science / Literature / Art (huh?) finals."
Me:
"Well, don't you think you should?"
Me (in my head):
"Well, get off f*cking Facebook and study then!"
Kid:
"Yeah, I should...but I don't feel like it."
Me:
"Why not?"
Kid:
"Because it's boring."
Me:
"Well, won't you get your texting back if you pass your Lit final?"
Kid:
"Yeah! You'd think that would be all the motivation I need but I still won't study."
Me:
"Why not?"
Kid:
"Duh! It's boring. PLUS, if (Insert Generic Kid Name) sits next to me, I'll copy off them and I'm pretty sure I'll pass."
Me:
"How can you be so sure?"
Kid:
"Because...(dramatic pause) I'M AMAZING!"
That's right! I totally forgot!
*Sigh*

Now, I know I keep saying this but I'll say it again:
I know I was a brat when I was her age (13 years ago) but I wasn't that big of a brat...

In fact, I would study for finals just to get it out of the way! Because I knew the sooner I got through with finals, the sooner I could hang out with my friends. And I also maintained a high B (mainly because there were presents associated with high marks and I wanted those presents, dammit!)
