Three mini-blurbs. Begin!
1. Valentine's Day - it's usually whatever. But this year, I was really excited for my plans! In a systems meeting earlier in the day, the three other girls in the group and I realized we were all in the same situation - long-distance relationships. So, we planned to meet later and watch Brad Pitt movies and eat shrimp pasta and chocolate and drink wine. So fun! But then, all of our cars were frozen shut with ice so no one could get anywhere. So yet again, Valentine's Day was whatever. Sad.
2. If there's an increase in the rate of diabetes in the 15217 zip code, I blame
Dozen Cupcakes. They are everywhere. They are expensive. They have awesome flavors and look really tasty. I just ordered a bunch of them for my friend's birthday party tomorrow.
Me: I'd like 4 Vanilla Vanilla, 4 Milk Chocolate, 4 Key Lime Pie, and 4 Cosmos.
Dozen Lady: Wow, that's a great order ... I want to go where you're going!
Me: Oh, we're going to Sing Sing.
Dozen Lady: :looks confused:
Me: Uhh ... the dueling piano bar.
Dozen Lady: Oh! I was about to say ... they don't eat cupcakes at that Sing Sing.
Haha. So yes, tomorrow I get to try my first Dozen Cupcake and go to a dueling piano bar! I'm very excited, hopefully I can get into my car by then, and hopefully I can get the pianos to play some Prince.
3. With all this snow and ice, I've noticed something very unusual. I don't trip, slip, and fall anymore. (Knock on wood.) I think it's because of yoga. I love ashtanga yoga. It's changed me so much, and I still have so far to go!
