New net is meh so far. Not really impressed, but it isn't so bad that I want to change it. Will give it a bit more time before I decided whether to keep or switch it.
Switching to Vista is scaring the crap out of me. Do not want to "upgrade" and then find out something isn't compatible. Oy.
Having way too much fun at this
cell phone strap site.

When I made the switch a year and a half ago, the only device I lost, out of the many I had, was my Wacom. It was an old first gen Intuous which they stopped supporting once the 3 came out. Had Wacom put a little effort into adding a couple lines to the driver to allow it to connect via USB instead of serial, I wouldn't have had to replace it.
Besides if you upgrade now, I'm pretty sure you'll qualify for a free Windows 7 upgrade and W7 is <333333 *_*. I can't want to put it on my desktop after using the RC on my laptop for a few months.
(Whoops. didn't realize I was logged into an RP LJ XD)

Thanks for the info! I feel better now, and once I download some drivers (juuuust in case), I'll update to Vista. ^^ The Vista I have is from a cousin who got it for free, so no free upgrade to Windows 7 for me. =/ But hopefully it will fix the weirdness my computer has been facing. :D

Anyway, yeah. Vista is not as bad as the horror stories make it out to be and also some of the "annoyances" can be easily removed. I recommend going to mintywhite.com once you're all settled into Vista and poking around their guides for tweaking out further.
