Greetings, residents of Splendor. Have you noticed some odd-looking animals around recently? Perhaps seen a wolf out of the corner of your eye, once or twice (or thought you did, at the least)? Because Morrigan has been stalking around, gaining better knowledge of her surroundings, eavesdropping on conversations and generally doing some personal reconnaissance.
See, this is not the realm beyond the Eluvian, and that is an issue.
For a few days, she takes to investigating the Wonderland District, taking note of everything and anything she can inspect, looking for tell-tale signs of the Fade or demons or some manner of familiar magic, and she doesn't find much of anything. She ends up finding Chey's line, but she leaves it alone as it is.
Eventually, she stands outside of her own residency, the small cottage down Aesop Lane, for the first time in her proper, upright form. She peers through a window slightly curiously, scowling at the house. She even doubts herself for a moment, glaring at the small key around her neck.
But this is her housing and while she's familiar with living in the wilderness, she might as well take a look at it. She takes her first steps inside and her scowl immediately deepens, and then she takes note of the multiple rooms and realizes that she might not be living alone.
At this point, she just has to try the seal, no matter how silly it makes her feel. (Her dignity's already pretty cut up by this whole District, anyway.) ]
This is where I am to live? As though I were a munchkin out of the children's tales?
Truly, it boggles the mind.
