[Voice/Action] 02 Flickering Lights

This might seem kinda random, but I was wondering what everyone's favorite part of the district they lived in is! I've been trying to explore the city, but it's just so big that I think I should start with what people recommend first.

[Filtered to Vanitas]Look, stay away from Sora and Kairi. They don't need to be dragged into whatever you and ( Read more... )

riku, sora, crona, master xehanort, kairi, ventus

I'm feeling better. Not real good, like before I got sick, but better.

I'm glad to know that you're doing better, though!

[Hmm, how to do this....]

Want me to bring some hot chocolate over?

[He doesn't want to make Sora feel any worse since he's getting better, and it'll give the blond more time to think about how to breach the subject about Vanitas with the child.]

Sure!

[He likes hot chocolate! And it means he gets to see Ven!]

Alright! I'll be there in a few minutes!

[The feed cuts, and he takes a moment to wish for two hot chocolates in a thermos. Then, Ven leaves the castle to head over to Tenna Villa. He pauses at the door to collect his thoughts and knocks on the door.]

[Kairi smiles and grabs her seal from where she's busy coloring. He can't see that but he might be able to hear her rummaging through a box of crayons.]

Huh? Oh, yeah, sure!

Okay, you in your room?

Yep! Want me to come out or you can come in here. I gotta put my crayons away.

I'll come to you. See you there!

[Ven takes a little longer to get to her room to give her plenty of time to clean up. He knocks on Kairi's door gently.]

Can I come in, Kairi?

[ Ventus' ancient Master appear not so far behind him, discreetly and without a sound. How cute, he wastes his time asking for advise as to what visit first. It is indeed a miracle that this boy still exist, let alone that he has the power to defeat Vanitas.

He needs to know a it more on this Ventus anyway, and to see how hard he gotta try to convince him he is an innocent old man. Xehanort finally walks to him and speak, making his presence known. he'll pretend he was just passing by, even though he doesn't live anywhere near from Ventus. Oh well, lies are a necessity. ]

You've been here for a long time my boy. You didn't visit the whole place yet?

[Ven jumps, startled by the familiar sound of Xehanort's voice. He's still not used to being in the same world as him, and honestly isn't sure what to think of him. For now, he'll just keep the kids away from him, too. Ven knows he's a good liar, but at the same time he might be telling the truth. He just isn't sure, and that's why he feels he should be polite yet cautious when Xehanort is nearby.]

No, Splendor's bigger than I thought it'd be! I've managed to explore most of the Golden District, and a little of the neighboring districts, though. Erm, have you been doing alright in Splendor?

Hum... I see.

[ He nods and then chuckles. ]

I'm doing fine my boy. I explored most of the city and it is a very pleasant place. Although, I have met a few peoples coming from my future, and what I learnt is a bit depressing...

[ He looks down. Yes because, let's not forget Xehanort still pretends to be from the past, before he turned evil. As such, he is still a good, nice old man following the Keyblade Masters rules, he didn't confront Eraqus about the Keyblade War yet, he doesn't have any ill-minded plans, and he didn't have Ventus has an apprentice either. ]

Y-yeah, it's not the greatest future in the world, huh?

[Okay, not the best thing to say in the world, either.]

But, maybe it can be changed? I just wouldn't know what should be changed.

[ looking up from the stove he's cooking at (Crona often put the Seal next to it so he could listen to it and cool his nerves from the stress of cooking things (im)properly), he contemplates the question for a moment.

hmm...well, he's still feeling kind of (a lot) shy of strangers, but there is this place he likes a lot... ]

Ah, in the Wonderland District-- m-mine, there's a rainbow fountain. It's...pretty. Sometimes, if you throw in stuff- [ and he'd only tried this once, but Crona has learned to assume he just has bad luck about these things, ] - it'll spit it back out at you, but it'll be coloured. C-cute, huh?

Whoa! That's pretty neat! I'll definitely have to try that out when I go there! Thanks! What sort of stuff have you thrown in?

[ . . . ]

Ah, well that's...

[ truth be told, it had been his own arm that had been in the fountain first, by Ragnarok's insistent will, and it had indeed come back coloured, but he isn't about to say that. a few rocks had done the same, so...those would do, right? ]

Oh, just stones and stuff. I-I guess you're supposed to put in coins, but there isn't really...that stuff here, that I can find. Maybe the fountain didn't like it.

Stones are just as fine as coins, I would think. Maybe it'd keep the coins if you made a wish on them...? Though, I guess that wouldn't make sense in a city that grants wishes anyway. Hmm...maybe we can experiment with what things will turn colors if we throw them in?

I don't really have a favorite place in the Golden District, but I think the view from the rooftops in Metropolis is pretty nice.

[Yeah so he is a brooder, who likes to stare off into the horizon or on the streets for people watching, so what? *coughs* Anyway... he's been meaning to talk to you, Ven, so he might as well take the chance now, right?]

[Private]

I'm putting together a bit of a paper about the Heartless for the Law Enforcement Team. I'd like to ask you about something for that.

What time's the best to go up there? I know I've been looking for a new place to stargaze.

[Hey, it's cool, bro. Watch the stars/meteor showers with him sometime! Ven blinks, not sure what Riku wants to ask, and not sure if he'll have the answer. Might as well try.]

[Private]

Sure, what would you like to know?

Reply

justabignobody February 10 2011, 00:57:25 UTC
Usually I'm there around noon, but I think it's with all the buildings around it's much too bright to truly be able to see the stars anyway. ... But perhaps you should try the shipwreck on the beach.

[He was only there like once and tends to avoid the beach and the bungalow district when possible, because it reminds him too much of home. But you know, Ven might actually be one of the few people who could drag him along. If only because of certain connections to certain best friends. yeah.]

[Private]

What exactly are the Unversed?

Reply

eighthprincess February 14 2011, 15:59:43 UTC
That's too bad. The beach sounds like a good idea, though! It won't be too cold at night there.

[Ven will be doing that with any and all friends once he finds the best spot for stargazing.]

[Private]

The Unversed? Well, they're basically negative emotions given shape. At least, that's what I've been told by two people who know more about them than I do. Master Eraqus is one of 'em. But...from what I've learned from the other, it's that they're created.
