[If you're walking through the Entranceway at the moment you might want to keep your eyes low; otherwise you might trip over the puppy that's curled up and still persistently trying to sleep in the middle of the room. Eventually he yawns and uncurls, fresh from his nap. Honestly, he hadn't been expecting to find a music box of all things on the

[Now, Jin's walking around the Entranceway to get a better acknowledgment of the places. Yup, that's when he stumbled across the said four legged creature, (un)fortunately not quite acting like how a dog should act.]
...A dog?
Reply
[He barks, trotting over and keeping his eyes on the man's face as well as he can from his low vantage point, his tail wagging hopefully behind him. Maybe someone friendly?]
[Wait... did he just say what Chibi thought he said?]
[An angry frowny face is slowly sketched out in the space in front of the humans's face, and then two very crude sketches replace it, one of a smaller canid shape with a stupid look on its face, and a slightly larger one, rougher and wilder looking, with a far more intelligent look to it (or, that's what he's aiming for, but he's got the drawing skill of a child, so he might be a little too confident). The smaller one, the dog, is repeatedly crossed off before it fades away, and the larger one, Chibiterasu's attempt at a wolf, is circled and underlined. Do you get it, or was it too complex? He's a wolf.]
[There's another underline for emphasis.]

Guh, he hates it when he found a peculiar adorable animal that he isn't supposed to show any affection.
Though, the latter action kind of surprise him. A dog and drawing? Doesn't come in set. And what the hell?]
What are you trying to imply?
[Yeah, Jin is crouching down now. Be happy that he decided to fall so low to talk to a canine Because he doesn't know your canon, yet.]
Reply
[Ooh, you're already so low! Chibiterasu bends his head up a little. Maybe just one pet? Maybe a scratch? That would be nice. Chibi likes scratches.]

Enma doesn't have the best track record with dogs, but this one looks a little lost.]
Ah....hi there?

Hi.
[He says it again, this time with a little more conviction.]
Are you, uh. Confused...? Looking for something?
[Or whatever else a question mark is supposed to mean. That's all he can come up with right now]

[His tail, meanwhile, is busy behind him, and while he's busy nuzzling into Mr. Hesitant's palm, an image begins to form in the air above him, of a wolf that looks a lot like him, except larger. That's his mommy. You haven't seen her, have you?]

Huh, I didn't know there were dogs here.

[He pads over, and then he realizes exactly what the man had said.]
[How many people will get it wrong? He's a wolf, not just a dog. He doesn't think they look anything alike! Two sketches show up side by side in the air, a smaller canine and a larger one, rougher, more wild-looking. The first one is repeatedly crossed off before vanishing entirely, but the larger is circled and underlined. He's a wolf.]
[But at least he's smiling. That's a good sign. Maybe this guy will help him? Chibi pads a little closer, putting on his best "cute" face. Maybe a pet will help him think more clearly. Or a hug. Or... or... you don't have any snacks or something, do you, Mr. Purple Hair?]

You're a...wolf? Heh, sorry buddy, didn't mean to offend.
[He chuckles a little, petting the pup's head.]
What can I do for you?
Reply
[He simply sits there for a second, his tail wagging back and forth as his eyes close, licking up at the man's hand.]
[Well, you could tell him where he is, for starters. This isn't where he fell asleep, and he's not used to suddenly waking up in new locations.]
[Sketch, sketch... a loose drawing of what appear to be a couple islands appears over his head, along with another question mark. Where? And maybe why, if you're feeling generous. But don't stop petting! It's helping to keep him calm.]

Curiosity gets the better of him, and he crouches down, peering down at the dog the best he can with his unruly bangs obscuring one eye. ]
But who would abandon such a helpless thing? [ . . . let's see if its capabilities extend beyond a question mark. ]

[If he's looking for a novel, then he's out of luck, because Chibi doesn't know how to read or write. But he does have quite a wide variety of things he can draw! Like, like... hmm...]
[A smiley face replaces the question mark as his maw opens in a wolfy smile. There are other, more drastic things he could do, but he doesn't see anything he could use as a target right now and he doesn't particularly feel like causing a draft. It's so much easier to just write than it is to actually do anything, anyway.]
[So have a smiley face. Fairly soon that fades out and gets replaced by a stick-figure drawing of what might be a person petting a canine. He'd love you forever if you didn't step on him gave him a scratch or two.]
Reply
He takes the hint, not stepping on him carefully smoothing down soft fur with one hand, before giving the base of his ears a firm scratch. ]
Are you lost?
Reply
[And yes, he's kind of lost. He doesn't quite know where he is or why he's here. Another sketch shows up, another question mark accompanied by what might be islands as if on a map. Where? And more importantly, why?]

AAAH! It's a puppy!! [she smiles brightly to herself, going down on her knees about to pat the puppy, when she sees the question mark floating above his head, and she is both surprised and impressed!!]
Uwaaaa, is that a new trick they teach dogs these days?
Reply
[He lets out a little yip at the last thing she says, though, and draws a crude sketch of what might be a dog in the air, crossing it out repeatedly. He's not just a dog! But you can call him that if you pet him. Maybe? Please? Just one?]
Reply
So... you're not a dog? [But you look like one...]
Oh, that doesn't matter! You're really cute, whatever you are! [she reaches out and pets the not-dog, smiling happily to herself as she does] Hey, do you have a name?
Reply
[He has a name, but doesn't really have a way to convey it, because it just so happens that the wolf doesn't know how to write, and he's not exactly the most talkative soul in Splendor. Maybe he could help by sketching the sounds? ... No, but that wouldn't work, what kind of image would you draw for "chi"? Maybe she doesn't even know what that is. He cocks his head, confused and kind of helpless.]
[Please don't assign him a stupid nickname! He'll think of something. Maybe someone could teach him how to write while he's here. Maybe his Mommy, if he ever finds her.]
[His ears droop as he thinks of her. He was so close to seeing her again, and now all this happened...]
[...hey, was he still being petted? It's hard to be disappointed or depressed when you're being petted... Aaah... Right there, that's it.]
