[ The Queen is currently in Wonderland, having tea outside a small tea shop. Yes, well, she didn't really waste that much time ordering for executions that won't happen anyway. Might as well sit down, rest her feet that have been wearing high heels all day and have tea ( Read more... )

I was just headed home [ if he can even call it a "home" yet. ], but sure! What kind of tea are we having?

Black tea. We insist that you try it.

[ she gives him an appraising look as she takes a sip. ] 'Headed home'? Are you, by any chance, a resident of this country?

Thank you! I'll do that. [ he's going to take a seat now. ]

No, I've just arrived here a few days ago, actually. [ ... ] Since you're talking to me, you're not from this city either, huh?

[ her eyebrows knit even more at that statement. ]

How can you tell simply by that? Should We be not speaking to you?

The residents here always ignored me and I've spoken to someone who had the same problem, too.

[ there is not enough tea-pouring action going on, so maybe she wouldn't mind if he poured his own cup... well, maybe he should ask if she'd like some more first before doing that. ]

Would you like some more? [ reeeaches for the teapot. ]

Yes, that would be much appreciated.

[ she's far too distracted by this story to pour tea since she's also being ignored by the people in this place. though she assumed it had something to do with her being a roleholder in a different country. ]

We cannot say that We have not experienced it. We simply assumed that it was out of uncertainty towards Us for We are foreigners to this place. But you speak of 'always'?

[ and, he pours some tea into her cup! he does the same for his own afterward. ]

Well, I've been trying for three days, so I guess I shouldn't say "always"... I'm sure with some effort, they'll warm up to us eventually.

We would hope so.

[ she raises her cup to her lips, only to pause mere inches away, once more a thoughtful look settling on her face. ]

We find it impolite for one person to ignore the other especially when they are addressed. And if they were Our people, they would have been executed at once.

Executed? [ ... ] Isn't that a bit much?

No, why ever would you think so? [ she's frowning again. ] It is a form of discipline.

That's a pretty extreme punishment, though. There are other ways to discipline others, too.

[ ... ] But, since that's how you guys do it where you're from, I guess I can't say anything further than that.

It is part of Our role to play as Queen. Though We do find relief from stress whenever We order executions.

[ she smiles at the thought of it. and well, it's true that it does give her a medium to relieve her stress on. ]

[ slowly gets away from the topic of executions for now: ] So, you're a queen, huh? It sounds really tough.

Oh, yes. [ nodding deeply, that smile gone and once again replaced by that thoughtful frown. ]

Our Minister is forever late and yet insisting that he is, the impossible fool. And Our knight has no sense of direction at all.

[ she brings a hand to rub her temples. ] In the end, We are forced to do all the work.
