[The day's barely begun, but Trunks already knows it's going to be a good one. Not from any kind of precognition or instinct, of course, but from that feeling you get when you're about to cross a finish line or complete a big project. The activities on his itinerary

Beach: Mid-morning

[immamartillo]

[The mention of "energy blasts" had convinced Firo that his hat was better off back home. But it wasn't enough to keep him away; he was rather interested in seeing one up close. He wanders the beach until he finally manages to spot Trunks.]

Hey! Trunks, right?

[immamartillo]

[Firo slips back to avoid the palm. He takes another step out of range and waits for the next attack.]

[saiyajinsoul]

[With the momentum of his attempted strike, he continues forward and launches a roundhouse kick.]

[immamartillo]

[The kick makes contact and Firo stumbled to one side. He aims a kick toward Trunks side.]

[saiyajinsoul]

[He grunts softly as he takes the kick, and with his arm he locks Firo's leg where it hits him. Trunks slides forward and tries another palm strike.]

[immamartillo]

[The palm hits and Firo tries to grab Trunks' hand to pull him off balance, even if he winds up going down with him.]

[saiyajinsoul]

[Trunks can't pull back his hand in time, and he and Firo hit the ground.]

[immamartillo]

[Firo tumbles to the ground. His attempt to rise to his feet is hindered by the sand, and so he instead tries to pin Trunks down.]

[saiyajinsoul]

[Trunks swiftly rolls away to the side and back to his feet, reassuming his stance.

He flashes a quick grin of acknowledgment to his opponent. That was a learning experience for him - he shouldn't have let Firo pull him down like that...]

[immamartillo]

[Firo hops to his feet, grateful that Trunks didn't hit him while he was down. He smiles back: it feels great to be in a fight with somebody who could hold their own. He sends a backfist toward Trunks' face.]

[saiyajinsoul]

[Trunks ducks under the backfist and replies with a punch aimed for Firo's midsection.]

[Firo can't avoid the punch. To strike back he makes an attempt to grab Trunks' wrist and flip him.]

[Trunks pivots as he pulls back, narrowly avoiding Firo's grab.]

[immamartillo]

[Firo follows up with a side-kick aimed at Trunks' middle.]

[saiyajinsoul]

[Trunks blocks it with a kick of his own and follows through with a series of jabs and hooks.]

[immamartillo]

[Firo retreats as Trunks comes at him with the punches; he manages to dodge and block some but gets hit by the others. He sends a side-kick toward Trunks, hoping to push him away.]
