All of the farmers in Olvoski make their cattle eat basil. It is because there is a breed of monster that will crawl in through the mouth of a cow...or a sheep and drive them mad; they will kill their masters and the other animals. Very...[exhale.] very tricky to stop. Fighting cows. Unless they ate basil. For some reason, the monster cannot go in when that is so.
Simple solution to a big trouble. Not everything has to be complicated.

Really? Is this true? Perhaps the studies on the medicinal qualities of basil extend beyond the physical realm, perhaps it can also work as a holy ward against monsters. On the contrary, it might have a chemical inside that the monsters simply despise and thus find unappealing. Basil is considered a majestic herb, it is considered king in culinary terms, too!
