[A few paces more, a turn in the bend, and there. The little blue animal bounding along with the Sorcerer's Ring around his stomach confirms it. Asch briefly wonders just who (or in this case what) else Splendor might be pulling in this time.]

What happened? [biiig eyes] You were dead! Master said that you'd been killed! It made Master and Natalia really really sad! So why are you alive? Was Master wrong?

[Asch's right eye squints shut a fraction. The animal's voice reminds him of metal scraping along stone. And as for the questions, well, they're definitely not of the sort Asch is even remotely eager to answer.]

[Luke's job hunt continues, as it has for the past couple days. In reality, he isn't doing anything too different - he's still wandering around a lot. But it feels different, since there's a bit more purpose behind it than there was. Though there was some frustration in the fact that a lot of the jobs were run by locals who as usual ignored everything he said...

He's walking around the park, ready to sit down and take a break, when he hears something. A very familiar high-pitched, half-annoying something.

There was no way. Of all the people he'd expected Splendor to bring here...

Abandoning his plans to find a place to sit, Luke looks around for a familiar patch of cyan, calling out] Mieu?

[There's no mistaking that voice! Super happy and excited, Mieu rushes toward the sound of the voice.]

[Leaping all up in your replica face]

Annoyances aside... Luke would never admit it aloud but he's actually rather happy to see the little cheagle. Mieu had always believed in him and always done his best to support him, in his own way. So long as he doesn't start acting annoying.]
