So yeah, not even an hour after I'm home and mom is already nagging me. I have GOT to get out of here. She wants the rent. I'm like, not until the 1st, and she gets all pissed off at me, because she paid the car insurance. The check is due the 1st. You will get it on the first. And then, I didn't eat all my food, because I thought I was ( Read more... )

Your parents are charging you rent? If so, you have every right to with-hold your check until the day that it is due. In reference to the food, are you buying groceries yourself? If not I can sorta see why she'd be upset with you wasting food; however, I also think it's a bit rediculous for parents to charge their kids anything while they're still trying to get their feet off the ground. It's not like you aren't trying to get a job and move out.

I pitch in for groceries every week, so she really shouldn't get mad at me. And I agree with the whole charging of rent thing... I'm barely scraping by as it is, plus I have my own bills to pay, and student loans, and with my job being as unpredictable as it is, I never know how much money I'm going to make. It sucks, because I don't work everyday and that brings down the check... some 2 week periods I make less than $100.

This summer is going to suck.

Wow Spencer, that's a really crappy situation. Makes it real hard to save up for your own place when your parents are nickle'n'diming you, huh?! I wish there were someway I could help or something more I could suggest.

A) of all...

Thanks for being totally AWESOME and helping out last week. My kids totally benifited from a fresh perspective in both musical rehearsal and in choir. And you helped me remember to get on them more about their posture. And again, I profusely apologize for the extreme bitchy-ness of "Harold Hill." I would so want to be in that job again next year without any doubt whatsoever, aside from that.

B) of all...

Whenever you need a break, feel free to meander on down here. M & L think you're great, and do not mind having you at all, and of course ditto from my end of things.

WORD.

Oh, P.S....

C) of all...

Don't fret too much about your mom. We will always be their children, but sometimes they forget to allow us to be ADULT children. They try, but alas occasionally they miss.
