Less complicated crushes would be nice then! My only less complicated crushes for the past year have been the silly barista ones! Every other one has involved hiding the fact (straight girls, coworkers, both) or has thrown me into a mini existential crisis.
Oh, man, and Rafa expressed quite a bit of surprise when I said I'd had sex with boys. I laughed. The closest translation of "queer" here is saying that I prefer girls instead of saying that I'm a dyke. Speaking of which, someone asked me what the English word for "dyke" is. When I said that we use dyke too, they asked me what the translation for "gay" is.
I WISH YOU WERE HOME! Actually I wish your home was Portland. I've been talking about you (in the nicest most flattering ways possible) a lot lately. I miss you and want to talk about crushes so badly. I'm glad you are having such a great time!
I am completely serious when I say that someday I hope to live in a big UU house and you are top of the list of wanted roommates... PDX, Seattle, or Oly.
I really miss you (cheesy postcards are in order!!!). Roadtrip to PDX is one of my plans when I get back. I've actually resolved to learn how to drive so that I can go on roadtrips this coming school year... and I want to do that thing that you do sometimes where you spontaneously decide to drive three or four hours to visit folks at 2am.
I will accompany you on those roadtrips! I also want to learn to drive. Crushes are frustrating and sometimes complicated, but very fun, and you know it =) I hope everything works out sweetie! Just out of curiosity and because I cannot figure it out, what does "pre-out middle school" mean? Love you lots sweetie!
