I haven't been to the public library in ages. I picked up some of my absolute favourite science books there and my first copy of the free LGBT magazine there too.

So long since I've been in a public library... Actually, since the opening of the great library, where i should really think about registering an account (otoh, there is always the school library).

Actually, IIRC, the ghettoized industrial area air is supposed to make people more resistant to breathing issues, statistically, that is (I still managed to have asthma from 15 to 18 :p )...

Still, Hurrah for libraries and bibliophile queers :D

it's such a great feeling to know that i can read as much as i want and apart from the responsibility of not losing it and making sure to turn it in on time, it doesn't cost me anything. public libraries still totally amaze me. like the fact that they totally exist at all and most people agree that they are a good thing (my grampa and other people who are grumpy being the exception: http://jackrad.livejournal.com/157237.html)

there is no place that makes me work more, read more and feel better about myself than the detroit public library. there's an entire room dedicated to drama & it's full of random, esoteric eastern european plays. by the way, eastern europe makes the best drama in the history of forever.

i love libraries!

I guess so, eh? I've been on a library kick lately, and it's good fun.
