so, i guess my gf won a rock band>rock band tournament at the union square virgin megastore and got a $500 gift card! and MSCL was one of the things we bought.

MSCL is one of the first tee-vee-on-dee-vee-dee series that i've ever had that i didn't rip through in a weekend or something -- we're very moderately going through it and watching one or two episodes at a time a couple days a week. what i really forgot about it is how after-school-special-y it is! the substitute teacher comes in and shakes things up! jordan can't read! ray ann overdoses on... ecstasy!? ricky's parents beat him up! that's so totally true. i never really picked up on that when i was 14 and it was actually airing. still love it though, but yeah, only got through the first half of the series...
