a) have any of you begged a teacher for a higher grade?

if so, b) did it work?

and if it did, c) how did you do it?

i think it might matter why you got the low grade. if it's because you had a crappy teacher, then you might have some leverage with the department. it also depends how far you were from the grade you wanted... i think if you had a bad teacher and ended up with an 88, for instance, you might be able to get it changed to an A. often if there is a really bad teacher out there, the dept probably already knows about it, and if you complain nicely about your grade, they might bump it up a little bit.

then again, if you can't legitimately blame it on the teacher, and it's your fault... well, good luck =)

Funny story.

I totally bombed my history of mexico final and I knew it when I handed it in. I told my prof and he gets this mischievious grin and says "Why don't you beg the TA for a higher grade? It might be amusing."

I didn't do it, but I've been encouraged by teachers to weasel for a higher grade.

Sadly....I just don't roll that way.

Shmaybe....probably not.....I may have to choose between eating and going to the party. However, I do wish to show everyone the beard I have begun to grow. Let's hope I can make it this time.
