Turns out, I was right: I didn't have the coordination for anything -- not because of lack of trying, but because my depth perception was screwed up.
But I managed to do okay in soccer anyhow, on defense, because even if I didn't have the coordination, I paid more attention than anybody else on the field -- and that meant that while the other kids were running all over the place, I was in the place I needed to be in, and even if I couldn't necessarily do the right thing, just my physically being there presented a problem to the other team ( ... )

That said, are there non-competitive activities available? Swimming or martial arts lessons? With swimming badges or martial arts belts, kids work for their own advancement and enjoyment -- less pressure, more personalized learning. Also, classes are divided into different skill levels, so all beginners start together.
I guess my question is, if the Imp wants to quit dancing and isn't big into sports... what does she want to do, and are there alternatives available? Keeping active is important, and so is trying hard; these are great things to learn.
