As some of you know, my attention span has been hugely diminished for the last year or so and as a result I have found myself practically illiterate as far as reading fiction books is concerned.  A week or two ago, I was inordinately pleased to stumble upon The Left Hand Of God by Paul Hoffman.  I was drawn in from the first sentence.  I finished

Haha I've done that before - but I just hide the books from myself and others and then stumble across them weeks to months later and go "oh wow new books that came from the mystery place". That way I don't feel guilty about buying them cos they're out of sight, ad then when I find them I'm to excited to be bothered with guilt. =)

I'm going to force my friend Britt to read it, but when she's done I can drop it off to you or post it if you like. I simply cannot wait to discuss this ending with somebody!

If you want I would love to read it after Britt. I've had some experience with hanging endings - I wrote half a chapter on them in Mitchell in my dissertation and while they annoyed me initially upon analysis I realised how truly cool his were. I can't speak for Paul Hoffman but I could give it a read and then we can discuss it :)
