She was scared. She was scared. She was really fricking scared.
Sally was not happy, and she wasn't making any attempt to hide it. Problem was that it was so dark that her friends (not like they deserved that title, she scoffed to herself) weren't picking up on her huffing and frowning.
Okay, maybe they were picking up on the huffing, but considering they'd been walking at least half an hour without stopping, the panting for air was probably understandable.
"Where are we going?" Sally whined. "We're out in the middle of nowhere!"
"Shut up," Marigold said snottily. Marigold did everything snottily, in Sally's opinion. Even her voice was nasal. "The captain of the varsity team dared me to do this, and said he'd date me if I did it
