Prompt: Gabriel is dead - at least that's what everyone believes - but he couldn't leave Sam alone and made a deal with Crowley. He is able to "be with Sam" and help him, but Sam can't/must not see him. Gabriel can only be fully back, if Sam himself discovers/finds out, that Gabriel was secretely helping him and calling him out on it.
Sam and Balthazar have come very "close", or rather, Sam starts trusting him, and Gabriel doesn't like it. But everyone thinks he's dead, and Sam suffers, so he has to decide to either stay dead or show himself to avoid Balthazar "getting" his Sam at some point, because he can see Sam already putting down his guards towards the other angel.
PROMPT: Gabriel/Sam/Balthazar -or- Gabriel/Sam/Castiel Sometimes the angels drive him nuts; on the other hand, there are the times he can't imagine being without them.
After Gabriel's become a member of TFW and (is working toward)/(has) a relationship with Sam, Gabriel finds out that the lesson he intended to teach in Broward County was entirely misunderstood. Sam simply accepts it as a reminder of all of his flaws.
At its core this prompt is all about misunderstandings and self-deprecating Sam. Deeply desiring comfort with the hurt.
You are tempting me (especially since I shouldn't even think about filling the prompt >_< ) but ... how far do you want to take the "one-sided" part? Because my heart bleeds ... I don't want to make it completely onesided ...
Oh, I don't mind it being not one-sided at all! I mainly put that in so the focus could be Gabriel/Sam. But I'm all for Gabriel/other archangel where both of them share feelings :)
Especially since pairing Gabriel with his older brothers is my guilty pleasure, haha.

Gabriel's brother(s) want to claim what he/they believe is his/theirs. Sam sets about showing them that Gabriel already belongs to someone.
