Summary: Sam knew he can't push things up any longer.
What Sam really thought was the hardest with his new life was that he not could get away from anybody or the place. That he no longer could drive, walk without a risk to get lost even in Bobby's backyard. If he ever felt lonely before it was nothing to what he felt now. Bobby did try to do as much as he could to be a company and cheer him up, but it was Dean he missed the most. You really do not appreciate what you have before you loose it.
Sam hated that he had a problem with knowing or remember the direction or how thing really looked like. He didn't like to have to ask Bobby for drive him into the town. With some words he would say that he was isolated and to the opposite of Dean he had liked to have people around him.
For week's or was it months he had pushed it up to break up even from Bobby, but he knew that the time for him to take the step to find something to live at alone had come. He had to take the risk. It didn't look like Dean would come back and he could definitely not live on Bobby.
To find a place on his own and really live was a part of the promise he had given Dean, and he wanted to fulfil that.
