This was a post I hoped that I’d never make, although in reality I knew I would one day!

spn_bigpretzel has been running over 10 years.  It’s seen the glory days of Supernatural and of Livejournal and has been a source of fun and sunshine within the Supernatural fandom throughout all that time.

I’ve often referred to spn_bigpretzel as being my spiritual home at Livejournal ( Read more... )

Oh man! It feels like the winking out of a bright light. I understand, but I'm sad to see it go. Even though I was never very good at writing lighter-hearted stuff, and so only participated a couple of times, I loved to see the hijinks folks got up to here, and representation for the lighter side of SPN. Thanks so much for the love and humor you and the other mods put into it over the years. I'm going to try not to cry because it's over, but smile because it happened. <3

I'm so sorry to see this community close, I just discovered you guys a few years ago and you made the last years of SPN really fun. Thank you so much to you and your fellow mods, your hard work was really appreciated.

Thank you so much for your work, for did life in the fandom interesting. It's a pity that fandom life is dying down on many sites, including LJ. It's a pity, it's a shame, because some fandoms live for many years after the closure of the series, but ours somehow calmed down right away. Maybe because the authors have matured? Because 10 years is a very long life span for a fandom. Thank you again

There are plenty of new authors coming in! But they aren't on LJ... That, I think, is the problem.
