I didn't quite get this posted before Christmas as hoped, but wee!chesters are still cute in January. This is a quick version of an illustration I've been wanting to do for, We're a Couple of Misfits, one of the Christmas stories I wrote here a couple of years ago. The art is shameless cute of awesome big brother Dean and his happy little elf

Thank you so much! And I'm with you - I'm such a sucker for escaped hair strands in general and Sam at any age is perfect for them.

Oh, absolutely - I love talking about art! You can always PM or drop me an email at reapertownusa at gmail.com. I do both digital and traditional - usually a mix of both (this one is ink and digital).

For the digital portion, I use Photoshop because that's what I have and it does work exceptionally well, but if you don't already have it, there are far cheaper options, which also work well like Corel Painter ($300-ish) or Easy PaintTool SAI (I think $50-ish) or GIMP (free - an open source Photoshop-like program). So whatever your budget or experience level there are a lot of fun options to play with!
