"What was it like?" Sammy's eyes shone as he practically bounced on his bed. "Tell me all about your first hunt, Dean."

"Were you okay here by yourself?" Dean was more concerned about Sammy than he was excited about his first hunt.

"Yeah, I was fine. Stayed up reading books and fell asleep with the light on."

Dean was able to shake the feeling of dread he'd had since he left. He'd pestered Dad to check up on Sammy to no avail.

Dean sat down and Sammy curled up by him. "We walked into the woods . . . "
