GAH. I often feel that these fics, where Sam and Dean are so lost and far away from each other and can't get back, are angstier and sadder than any deathfic.

I agree with torturemysoul. These fics tear me apart in ways that death cannot. This was wonderfully done, and I am feeling terribly achy for Dean and for Sam. *cries*

Ouch. :( I love how this draws on themes from WIAWSNB -- Dean as the alcoholic loser, and Sam with his perfect California life. This sort of angst is my favorite kind: when life goes on, but it sucks.

Oh, this was SO SAD! It's painful because it feels so realistic - especially the detail that Sam initially wanted Dean to be a part of his domestic life. I could pull out a dozen lines that I loved, but this in particular: All his life, Dean thinks, they've been traveling west. Sam goes first and then he follows. - struck a chord with me. Beautifully done.

Thank you! That was actually my favorite bit to write, the part about Sam suggesting a house. I'm so glad you enjoyed - for the same eye-crossing reasons you've given me. <33

Note to self: Read Team Angst *first* - then you won't take that feeling of being kicked in the gut to bed with you. I loved how the deterioration of Dean's pride and joy Impala mirrored the slow slide of his life. Excellent - 10.0

Aw, thanks! You know, it almost hurt me more to write the failing of the Impala then to write the boys into their sad futures. I felt so bad about giving the old girl age-issues. *laughs*
