Title: Splinter in Your Mind

Pairing: Sam/Dean
Warnings: Grievous injury and possible character death.
Summary: Sam and Dean go to investigate a haunting, and get far more than they expected or ever wanted. Dean is forced to again make the hardest choice, when Sam's life hangs in the balance.

( Sam fell silent, waiting as Dean extracted the splinter with his teeth. Smirking with triumph, Dean flicked his tongue against the palm of Sam`s hand before he released him, enjoying the gasp his little brother gave. )

That's one of the things I love about Supernatural, is that comedy and angst live sort of side-by-side, and very harmoniously XD I don't think I could write an SPN fic with NO comedy.

And just for the record, you and I live in the same fantasy world *shares the tin-hat*

oh MAN! I really thought for a minute that you were gonna go there and have Sammy die, and I was prepared to CRY BUCKETS. (not that I didn't anyway, um. heh.)

This was a great use of the prompt, and also? You threw some schmoop in there! Don't think I didn't see it with the I LOVE YOU at the end. *g*

Yay for plotty, angsty, creepy stories! I loved the combination of humour, angst, and horror here. But though I'm happy as hell that Sammy lives, it sorta cheapens Dean's dilemma.
It might as well have said 'Fluffy Bunnies and Rainbows Behind This Door' for all that it dissuaded a Winchester from going inside
This so killed me dead XD

Very nice! You really keep the tone/mood of the show, and it just reads like it could be an episode. It starts out light and humorous, then goes dark and angsty and filled with action.

"Do I really need to spell it out for you?" the demon said, laying one of Sam's huge hands on Dean's hip. "In fact, you have a boner right now, am I right? Doesn't even matter to you who's driving this body, so long as you can spread your legs and get yourself nice and fucked."

That? Totally hot. I really loved demon!Sammy trying to put the moves on Dean. The way he talked to him was both disturbing and sexy. xD Maybe I'm just a big sicko, but it totally hits my buttons, so. ;)

I knew Dean wouldn't accept the demon's offer, tempting as it might had been, and that he'd go through with the exorcism - even at the risk of losing Sam! But that just makes the whole thing even more poignant. I really felt for Dean.
