Summary: Azazel prepares those in hell to come above ground as he gets ready to meet his special children.
Azazel dreamed that he was in the company of the polar bears with the cold wind blowing across his face. It was refreshing, frigid and, dare he say it, nice. Definitely a change to the fire and brimstone he was used to.
But, he woke up in the same hell he'd gone to sleep in. He went to the meeting area and waited. Soon a crowd formed.
"I have seen the future," he announced when it was quiet. "Their cities are like stacks of blocks. They'll be no more of a nuisance than Legos for us to destroy. And the people themselves are so fragile. They like to think they're strong but they can be snapped as easy as twigs. They will offer little to no resistance."
He looked out over the crowd that was holding on to his every word.
"Then there are the hunters," he paused when he could hear the groans and gnashing teeth upon hearing that word. "You know all about them just like I do. They've been getting too secure in their abilities and that will be their downfall. There are psychics that are foretelling of our invasion. Very few hunters are listening because we have never invaded before. What they don't know is that I've been planning this glorious event for us for a couple hundred years. The world will be ours!"
The crowd erupted in clapping and whooping.
Once they settled back in, Azazel continued with his speech. "There is much more planning and preparation that needs to be done. The only way this will work is if you do everything I say . . . without bitching. I will lead you to victory!"
Azazel's eyes glowed yellow as the crowd poured out applause and praise. He would lead them to victory. But, he wasn't going to take them all with him. He just left that little part of his plan to himself.
Time passed. It was irrelevant in hell since hell was for an eternity. Most of them listened to Azazel's orders. Those that didn't were punished severely and he held the punishments in front of all of them, as a motivation for witnesses to obey. Or, a deterrent for not obeying him, whichever way they looked at it.
It took organizing and training of all the pertinent players. Timing was going to be everything. When that gate to hell opened, he needed them to be ready to go. They had to understand their purpose and duty. He'd have less control over them once they made
topside. However, he still wouldn't hesitate to hunt one of them down and send them packing back to hell.
He'd been watching the Winchesters and their friends.
He'd watched them closely for years. He prepared to meet the last group of his special children at Cold Oak. He was going to see Sam for the first time since he was a baby in his nursery. He was really looking forward to that reunion.
Once he was as ready as he could be, he gathered the children and watched the games begin.
