Welcome Back postcards?

Feb 14, 2008 11:18

Okay, IF the strike is effectively over (it looks as if it is, but you never know, I think they still have to sign the deal officially?)..anyway, if it is over and everyone is back to work, how about sending Welcome Back/We Missed You/Glad You've Got Your Job Back postcards to the cast and crew in Vancouver?

Mods? What do you think?

LOL :)

I've been wanting to post that for days since the news about the strike were confortingly positive, but until definite...wouldn't want to jinx it, you know ;)

More SPN, yay!

Ya, I was worried about jinxing it, and then school got in my way. :P I wrote my contact to see if she could let me know when they actually get the crew back to set, but I think it might be better if they have a shit load of postcards waiting for them when they do.

I am keen. The cast and crew are gonna have to work their asses off to get us the episodes that Kripke has hinted at - the lest we can do is inundate them with our thanks, appreciation and love.

I just hope that they can get the same crew assembled. The bigger titles are under contract, but the P.A.'s might have had to look for work elsewhere during the strike. :(

Just a WARNING to anyone who replies to the above comment: NO SPOILERS HERE, or I WILL ban your ass!

That would be horrible. The strike has cost so much hasn't it? I can't imagine what it has been like for all of them. Lest we can let them know we care and appreciate them.

Oh dude, thank you. I am a complete spoilerphobe and know nothing regarding the actual episodes and hadn't even considered the possiblilty that someone might mention specifics. Cheers.

i'm up for it !! when do you guys think they'll resume production ? anyway ... it might take up to three weeks for a postcard to reach vancouver for me :)

I suppose it'll be a week at least or so before they can put everything they need together - I think Jensen said (in an interview for an Australian program) that they had a script almost completed before they stopped production, so while they set up locations and props and such for that one, they will probably start writing the rest like mad.

I suppose, two/three weeks, althouhg I'd imagine the offices will be awfully busy in the next ten days, tracking down people and such.

The writers went back to work yesterday, and if they had half finished scripts done before the strike then they should be ready to start shooting again within two weeks - I believe. I put an e-mail in the system, and I'll let everyone know if and when I hear back.
