I guess it depends. I'm nervous if someone's too outgoing and/or I have nothing in common with them. But I've been known to randomly approach people if they've said that resonated with me, alludes to a common interest, or just have a nice vibe around them. My mood almost completely depends on the amount of 'I am screwed' in my schedule.
I hate being under authority figures and speaking to them directly just makes me shy. If there's any exception, I do get explosive when my dad says some things in particular. Some nasty fights there.
I love to grapple and get my hipster on with philosophical bullshit. :)
I can't think of anything else, so there it is.
Some positive adjectives/traits and the negative:
Positive: I like to think I'm modest. I'm great at listening as long as I'm not actually looking at the person talking. I don't know why that is, but at least my eavesdropping skills are pretty boss. I don't talk behind people's backs. I'm generally a nice person and I can usually rise to the occasion.
Negative: If school screws me over and you're my friend, you'll be feeling my anguish. Because I will bitch to you. A lot. I procrastinate, and my modesty might be more accurately called self deprecation. I'm a very jealous person, and feel the need to rise to many a challenge no matter how ridiculous it is. Stress gets to me and makes me work until I burn out. And the fallout from that crazy rise-fall of energy tends to be terrible for my goals. And then I do it all over again. Fun.
Likes [hobbies, fandoms and general]: Supernatural would be stating the obvious, but that's my main fandom. Wincest is my OTP. Grappling, drawing, black humor, Paranoia Agent, macabre, piano, philosophy. I love literature, but mostly Pomo stuff and things from dead Russians.
Dislikes: Kant (Categorical imperative, aaaargh!), elitists, Glenn Beck (and co.), terrible autobiographies, Stephanie Meyer, McDojos, Histrionic douchebags that need to grow up
Strengths/Talents: Grappling, drawing, technical/essay writing, being a cheap ass.
Fears: Aliens, if they exist, and bees. Bees are the scum of the earth. Irrational fears are awesome. Oh, and the whole 'unsure future' thing. That's creepy too.
Favourites [and why?]
Colour: Olive drab, olive, desert cactus, and urban grey. I don't know why, but I love military colors.
Word: Um... clavicle. But seriously, I don't have one.
Place: In bed
Band/Artist: Ben Folds, which is weird, because the majority of my collection is classic: rock/blues. Stephen Lynch is great too.

Is there a character you don't really relate to at all/think is very unlike you? Explain why... I can't think of anyone, really. Maybe Kubrick, since I know nothing that really defines him but religious zeal. That particular trait is something I don't have, have ever posessed, or can imagine myself ever having.
