Wait, is she planning to publish? Because I sympathize if she's trying to publish. I mean, somewhat. But otherwise, what is she worried about? How is she losing the rights to her work?

If she's planning to publish, she doesn't say. That seems like something you'd want to tell people. It beats ~disappointed in fandom~ anyway.

She apparently wants dictate who can read her fics and how and when.

I don't think she's planning on publishing:

"I would be happy to send PDFs to you of any of these verses for your own personal use if you drop me a PM, but please, don't load them to other sites. If you have questions, the judge can explain transportation for life, and trust us, it ain't pretty."The only reason given was by a friend who left a comment in the spnstoryfinders that she was "disappointed with fandom and didn't want her fiction to be shared ( ... )

delete her stories from their computers

Only if they got them from the leaked downloads, right?

Thank you for taking the time to clarify your comments about which PDFs you wanted people to delete (they were a bit confusing). It is also helpful to know that your reasons for removing your fanfic are personal and are not being driven by a desire to publish.

Just a point of clarification, from what I've observed: your original PDFs were re-uploaded to 3rd party file sharing websites (not personal websites). And they are probably not even attached to an account, so the original uploader might not be able to delete the file.

PS. If you have plans to make your PDFs available via email or through a locked DW community as has been reported here, please let us know. Like the MPAA and RIAA, if people have a legitimate way of accessing your stories, they will be less likely to reupload them. Clearly there is still some interest in your writing which is a good sign (your disappointment with your fellow fans notwithstanding).
