Summary: Jared's completely lost...his boyfriend has left him, he's pregnant, and most people look down on pregnant men in society. He doesn't know what to do and isn't handling it well. He turns to his friends and neighbors Chris and Steve who have always been there for him in the past. They can only do so much though. When their old friend Jensen returns to start up his new medical practice, Jared might just be able to find the help he needs and more...
Summary: After his death at the hands of the Leviathan, Castiel is brought back to life yet again... only this time, he's finally going to get some answers. Just... not any that he'd ever want to hear.

One thing I love about the FD posts is all the little tips for what not to do with masterposts. By the time I get around to posting mine'll be perfectly crafted to make all the nonnies happy.

The summary does have some problems, as was said above, but I actually really enjoyed this.
SPOILERS
Basically, Chuck!God brings back Castiel and has a discussion with him about the nature of the universe, God's role in it, and all that sort of stuff. Eventually, God asks Castiel to end him. In the end, Castiel goes to Dean and tries, and fails, to convince him to kill him. The summary doesn't really do this justice; I thought it was executed really well, and the ending has a really cool sort of horror/not horror vibe to it. I'd recommend it.
Summary: Jared has magical hair and lives in a tower in the middle of the forest. It seems his life is doomed to boredom until a dashing thief crashes into his life.

I don't know about this one. I wanted to like it, and liked quite a lot of it, but overall ended up a bit confused and frustrated. I can always do with more "God!Cas is fixated on getting Dean to love him" (unlike, say, "Cas, God or otherwise, keeps Dean in a happy artificial bubble while in reality the world burns and possibly Sam is dead", which I'm a bit burned out on). And I liked how it starts, with Sam waking up in a strange place, *again*, and how we gradually find out what's going on for both him and Dean. However each section is told out of order (check the right hand side for the numbering - I missed that at first), and I don't know how much that added to the story. Some of it, yeah, but the placement of some of the sections just seemed random. I'm normally pretty good with stories told out of order, but with this I felt like I was being made to expend too much effort for no particular reason

A couple of misused words ("pouring over the library", "ruins" instead of "runes", I think). No "his angel".
I couldn't see the pictures in disbil's art post for some reason, probably on my end. The style of the drawing in daeos's post isn't really my thing so I can't judge, but I expect others will like it.

Thank you for this, nonnie! As a dark D/C and D/A nonnie I should enjoy this at the id level for sure. I wouldn't have noticed the numbering, actually, oops.
"God!Cas is fixated on getting Dean to love him" (unlike, say, "Cas, God or otherwise, keeps Dean in a happy artificial bubble while in reality the world burns and possibly Sam is dead", which I'm a bit burned out on).
I hate to ask, but where are all of these?? I like the former better but I can't seem to find Godstiel fics to save my life, so I'd read the latter, too.
Summary: 1921: Dean Winchester and Castiel Milton are two WWI veterans meeting by chance at a hospital. Dean, works for an alcohol smuggler for whom he does small/dirty business. After Castiel helps Dean with his current assignment, he ends up working alongside him for good. Neither of them is completely fine with it but when the only thing you're trained to do is kill people, there's not much of a choice.

The use of Milton makes me wary and I've had many issues with this author's writing in the past. The summary has me intrigued though... I'm conflicted.

This wasn't that much less fluffy than janie_tangerine's other stuff, I think. Castiel is horribly disfigured, but Dean doesn't care. Dean has PTSD and works for the mob, but the part of the story where they're ruthless murderers is kind of skipped over in favor of feelings. It was okay (J_T tends to be wordier than I like, but that's nothing new), just not much darker than your typical romcom mafia!AU, and lighter than I expected from this challenge.
I am kind of interested in seeing Boardwalk Empire now, though.
