Did the kinkmeme die with art?

I've been looking back through the last few months of the kinkmeme and the whole underage art blowup seems to have killed them.

Nonnies, do you still frequent the kinkmeme? Are you waiting for inspiration from the new season? Looking for someplace new all together?

I'm not a writer so I guess I don't count but this year I have lost interest on the kinkmeme. I used to prompt a lot but I never got a fill and overall the recent fills don't hit my kinks.

What counts as killed, though? It's Sept 10th, and there've been about fifty fills since August 19th. That seems reasonably active to me.

There's only a mere handful of decent authors in that lot. I blame s8 spoilers. :(

minchout and salty_catfish gives me a squee, though. That concept, with a great artist? Oh, yes, PLEASE.

Otherwise, meh. Amused to see someone called deancaslover32 participating. Also IDK who hanyou_sensei is but she seems to be being unnecessarily bitchy in comments about a mistake in the list.

S8 Character Spoilers

"Supernatural": Women don't tend to stick around long on this show, so our ears perked up when a little birdie told us that we'll soon see a "major recurring female character." Naomi will debut in Episode 807, "A Little Slice of Kevin.". She's very buttoned up and polished (and described as similar to Matt Damon's character in "The Good Shepherd"). All that poise and professionalism is just a farce, though -- she's got some serious issues. Oh, and FYI, that episode's mystery-of-the-week centers around a woman named Delta, who is a rocker who may have become a "witch-for-hire" when her band broke up.

This is getting more and more soapish. I will laugh my ass off if she's Dean's new love interest to balance up for Sam's Amelia.

But don't we have enough with Dean's serious issues already? The more I hear the less I am inclined to tune in. They need to stop leaking spoilers now.

Parallel storylines is the red thread of this show.

I said I'll laugh my head off if she is Dean's love interest. I don't see how she will fit in the story if she's not linked to the brothers. Since all sidekicks are linked mainly to Dean I assume she is too.

I was thinking pretty much any meme, tbh. Hoodietime or kinkmeme or any of the specialty memes, like the purgatory meme or anything. Just favorite fills!

Though you should read fic written for our meme, if you like fic. Some of it is really wonderful. There are some brilliant artists here as well! You're missing out if you don't give them a try. :)

I'm a little overwhelmed thinking about my favorite comment fills in general (not from specific places) so I'm going to skip those questions and maybe come back to them! I also keep forgetting what was someone's fic that they just wrote to write, and what was someone's fic that they wrote for a fill, you know? But let's see what I can answer

When you see fan "art" and start to laugh so hard you think you might actually die because oh my god that's...that's a giant naked man baby with Jensen's head pastded on yay on and it's not even being done as a joke.

I saw fan "art" that was just a screencap run through a couple of filters, and it was made as a GIFT for someone on my tumblr feed. I couldn't tell if the recipient was genuinely grateful or just saying it to be polite. My only consolation is that the post didn't have that many notes.
