Sometimes I wish Dean was a littler smaller anonymous November 23 2012, 18:39:52 UTC
...just for the sake of my wincest artwork. Cause I find it so impossibly hot when there's enough of a height difference between two guys that the shorter one has to stand on tiptoes when they're making out. And I want to incorporate that into my drawings but at the same time I want to keep it realistic. I guess I could always draw wee!Sam n'Dean but underage squicks me out.

(I'm not quite sure what the point of this thread is. I may be bored)

He probably have to when he's not wearing logger boots, check the caps for changing channel where Dean's wearing hospital flats, you can tell there's a bigger height difference there.

I'm kinda surprised you don't just go the less realistic route. So many people exaggerate or completely make up hight differences in so many fandoms that, at this point, it barely registers to me.

like how Stiles is so much shorter than Derek where in reality they're almost the same height? :D

Happy Thanksgiving day, nonnies! anonymous November 23 2012, 19:07:19 UTC
What are you planning for today? I'll watch TV like always while my neighbours celebrate with their families. I'd like to watch a SPN marathon but I don't have the DVDs so I think I will watch Walking Dead.

I don't think most Sam!Girls are USian.

I don't think we've ever done a survey on nationalities and affiliations.

I am from the US, I'm a Sam girl, and I celebrated yesterday, seeing as how that, not today, was US Thanksgiving. US Thanksgiving is always a Thursday.

I thoroughly recommend Out of Gas. Out of Road. Out of Time found at http://de-nugis.livejournal.com/79661.html It's Wincest, and really good.

As for gen, I know there was one posted today which is 6000+ words, but I haven't had the chance to read yet so don't know if it's good.

Up For Some WIP talk? anonymous November 23 2012, 20:43:09 UTC
It's been a little while since we've talked WIPs. So what say you? Are you open to reading WIPs or have you been burned too many times? I've been trying to stick to a no WIPs policy for a little over a year now. Mostly I'm successful with it, but every once in awhile I cave if a summary particularly piques my interest. I've tried to make it my standard preocedure to just bookmark and/or subscribe to any WIPs that have summaries that grab me, but sometimes they catch me on a day I stumble across one if I don't have much else to read at the time ( ... )

forever mourns bauble's noir D/C

also watching with equal part fascination and horror otp_destiel's WIP, it's still being updated after like 3 years.

btw, is mikey!verse still active?

I rarely read WIPs but that's because I'm not organised enough. Even with AO3, I'd forget to check, and with lj it'd be near impossible. If the gaps are too long inbetween I lose interest as well. Though there is nothing quite like the joy when someone updates after years of not doing so. This happened to me twice with stories I loved and it's great.

I'm writing my own WIP at the moment, but I've taken the caution of making it a fixed number of chapters and knowing that I could follow through. I'm now 4/5's of the way through and almost done!

AO3 makes WIPs easy though. I just subscribe to the ones that I like and get an email when there is a new part
