There are so many things to note about this episode, but because of time issues I'll pick just one here. Kudos to Serge for making such a pretty and awesome episode!
The shots of the Impala on the road were gorgeous! I felt that these showed perfectly that right now the boys are on their own, but they are very much a team. No matter how Dean's obsessing over the Mark, it's Sam who's keeping him together and making Dean believe that he can handle this. The empty roads and a big world, but the boys are with Baby, ready to tackle the Mark head-on. (Also, I think the first and the last shot are recycled from earlier episodes, but I'd have to go through more caps to determine where they're from.)
First we get the boys driving to the case Sam found. Dean didn't want to leave the Bunker because he felt he'd put people in danger. We get the Impala on a lonely road in full sunshine and there seems to be nothing dangerous in the shot anywhere.
