1. Can I make art as well as writing a story?
Absolutely! The more, the merrier - just make sure you sign up in both places so we don't miss you :)
2. Can authors cowrite a story?
Yes, just list both names on the signup post.
3. Is there a maximum word limit?
As if we're going to limit your femmeslash. In other words, as long as you have at least 10,000 words, we're happy.
4. Can a writer sign up for more than one story?
Again, as if we're going to limit your femmeslash! As long as you can handle more than one story, we're happy.
5. Does the story have to be totally femmeslash?
You can have background pairings, or your protagonists being in non-femmeslash relationships before your main pairing get together, but your main, overarching pairing must be femmeslash. So a Jess/Jo story that starts off with some Sam/Jess would be fine; a Sam/Castiel story with a Ruby/Anna scene or two wouldn't.
6. Can I post additional art that I or someone besides my artist has done?
Not until the end of the posting round. Your artist's work should get a chance to shine!
7. What counts as art for the purposes of this challenge?
Banners, posters, wallpapers, icons, videos, traditional art, fanmixes... there's a pretty wide definition! If you're unsure, feel free to ask.
8. What if I finish ahead of deadline?
Your mods are jealous as hell, that's what. You can submit your draft whenever you finish: just send the summary information (included on the signup posts) to spnfemmeslashbb@gmail.com.
9. I keep my journal f-locked. Can I post the story to the comm?
We would strongly prefer that you didn't. Your journal doesn't have to be open to the public; just the post containing your story/art.
10. Are original characters allowed?
As long as at least one of the characters in your main pairing is a canonical character (or a real person), that's fine.
11. Is genderswap allowed?
Yes, as long as they are written as always-a-girl (ie: no "Dean is cursed, becomes a girl and has hot lesbian sex with Jo" fic).
12. What about transgendered characters?
If your character identifies as female, then she's female, and any relationship she has with another female is femmeslash.
If you have a question that hasn't been covered, feel free to ask in the comments or email spnfemmeslashbb@gmail.com.
