This post is for ANY AND ALL SPN & OTHER CHARACTER PROMPTS. Characters from other fandoms are allowed as long as the main pairing includes one Supernatural character. Reminder: all prompts with people under the age of 18 should be posted to the underage post.

Is it really necessary to allow people to second (or third, fourth) requests? It's not going to get filled just because a lot of people *want* it, and for people who track the thread it's a waste of our time and effort deleting comments/e-mails from our inbox with what's basically spam! :/

I fill some requests specifically because out of my list of "maybes", certain prompts have more +1s. This is a ridiculous request, seconding requests is standard across every kink meme in fandom.

I don't see what difference that makes, personally, if someone likes a prompt, they write it. Anyway, that's how you work, and I'm not going to knock that. :)
Just because something is standard, it doesn't mean it has to happen. It's a suggestion, no need for a big discussion. I raised it with a mod, nobody else. Their word will be final, but we all have a right to ask a question!
This conversation comes up over and over again, and basically, it's a factor of tracking (I also track, btw), and the negative effect of policing enthusiasm is probably greater than the irritation of a few trackers.
2. Unfortunately, we do not screen people's comments and that includes seconds, thirds and so on.
I understand your frustration, as a mod I track everything as well and gmail has decided to not filter comments to initial posts to proper folders, but that is a part of how the community works. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

I track my requests too and sure, I prefer a fill, but color me weird, I'm happy when someone likes them enough to second them. I understand not everyone feels the same though.

1. This should have gone in the Help Post.
