Jared had suffered past abuse (either rape or an abusive relationship) and a miscarriage/still birth. Now he's in a loving relationship with a very supportive Jensen but still at least occasionally struggles with issues. And now Jared's pregnant again and about to term and is having a really hard time dealing with the memories it's bringing up and fear of what might happen.

He looks up and freezes. The guy standing in front of him, green eyes sweeping across the specials board behind Jared’s head, is by far the most gorgeous man Jared has ever seen. Tall, though not as tall as Jared - few are - and broad, obvious muscles visible even through the loose t-shirt he’s wearing. Jared swallows thickly and forces himself to stop noticing the curve of his lips or the strong jaw, the flex of his biceps or the bow of his legs.

Jared barely stutters over asking for his order - he’s immensely proud of that - but then those green eyes are right on him and Jared sort of can’t breathe. The guy smiles, must not notice Jared’s current state of panic, and orders a large black coffee - none of that fancy shit - with a smile and a low, whiskey-rough voice ( ... )

“Y-you don’t even know me,” Jared stammers.

“I’d like to get to know you,” Jensen counters easily. “But what I know so far, I like.” At Jared’s confused look, Jensen chuckles softly. “Gen. She, uh, she’s a talker, that one.”

“Can I… I can help, if you’ll let me,” Jensen murmurs gently.

Jared finds himself nodding, holding his breath when Jensen slips an arm around his ribs and helps him up. Jensen supports most of his weight as Jared hobbles toward the athletic building - he hadn’t even realized he was that close to where Jensen works - and inside. Jensen gingerly helps him down onto one of the tables and grabs a towel and some ice.

“I’ll ice it and once the swelling goes down some, we’ll see how bad it is,” Jensen explains. Jared nods, biting his lip, looking at anything but Jensen. “So, uh, pretty extensive surgery, I’m guessin’?” Jared nods again. Jensen is not Drew. Jared reminds himself of that every day. He still doesn’t have the guts to tell Jensen the truth. He hides the morning sickness - thankfully it isn’t bad - and the exhaustion - work is stressful, he’s not sleeping enough - and Jensen doesn’t have a clue. Jared knows he’ll have to tell him - and soon, he’ll start to show within weeks probably - but he’s still terrified of fate being cruel enough to have history repeat itself.

He’s three months along, past the crucial first trimester and the puking has mostly stopped but he’s still tired and his abs have lost their definition. Jensen keeps asking if he’s okay, watching him like a hawk, always sweet and loving - Jared’s traitorous brain reminds him that Drew was sweet and loving at one point as well; but Jensen is not Drew has become Jared’s mantra over the years ( ... )

Thank you so much for filling this!!! I'm so sorry I only just recently saw this got filled, I had been away from lj for a while due to crazy RL. I didn't mean to be rude in not responding sooner. :-P
But I loved this! So sweet, and painful, then hopeful and lovely. I love how Jensen was completely happy to marry and be with and love Jared even though Jared wasn't even able to give him anything sexual at the time, for all he knew when he proposed they might never have sex. Jensen just loved Jared. <3
