THE MEME
Once upon a time we had an idea. This isn't that idea, but you get the idea. *snerk*
THIS idea is that we've been wanting to host a comment!fic meme for quite some time now. All comment!fic memes have a theme. I wanted to do one where all prompts are quotes from canon. Like so.
Prompt: "You can't run from this. And you can't protect me." ~ Sam, Hunted.
Blacklid and I being the massochists geniuses that we are, we decided to turn it into a community instead. It will only be fun if people participate, so WATCH, JOIN, and TELL YOUR FRIENDS!! :D
We will be going through the episodes chronologically, because we can. Thus, the first post will be a comment!fic meme for Pilot quotes, the second, Wendigo, and so on. Every so often we will change it up and post a meme with a different theme, but MAINLY, episodic memes are the general focus.
HOW IT WORKS
We will post a meme titled with an episode name. People will leave prompts consisting of a quote or a small exchange (ie: Bitch/Jerk) from THAT episode. Authors will read the prompts, pick one, and write a comment!fic based off of the quote.
Simple, see?
IMPORTANT: Your fic can be ANYTHING that the quote inspires in you. If the prompt is, "How does a guy like Sam become a monster?" ~ Dean, Hunted, and it makes you think of little wee Sammy learning monsters are real, write that. If it makes you think of eeeevil Sam fic, write that. Because tahiri loves it and we all want her to always be happy. If it makes you think of Frankenstein kidnapping Sam and trying to use him to build a friend, write that. The fic does not have to be set in the episode the quote is from.
THE RULES
1) This is a permanent comm for comment fic, so PLEASE POST YOUR FIC INTO THE COMMENTS. If it is too long to put into 1 comment, add to your thread until it is all in here. We want them all in one place. You can of course also post your fic anywhere else you like afterward. :)
2) This is a Supernatural fic meme, so NO RPF.
3) Keep the fics realistic to Show. (<----- second most important rule.)
This means that you CAN, for example ...
Be as zany as you want.
If Sam and Dean are waking up on the Starship Enterprise, that's cool - as long as the Trickster put them there or there is some legit show-related reason like too many shrooms on their pizza.
Toy with events and timelines.
If you want to write an a/u in which Sam stays dead, that's cool. If John died instead of Mary, that's cool. If Dean is the youngest, fine. Write it how they would have done it.
Bring on the violence.
If you want insane amounts of violence or gore, that's cool. (Honestly, I dare you to try to beat the gore in My Bloody Valentine. I dare you.)
Write pairings.
Any pairing that has or could have happened or could ever feasibly happen in canon is cool. (ie: Sam/Sarah, Dean/Lisa, Bobby/Sheriff Mills What? I think she'd be great for him! Ed/That poor dead intern)
***HOWEVER, we want everyone to get to play here, including people under 18, so please keep your fic 'R' or less. Thank you.***

Write Wincest.
Sam and Dean are straight as far as canon is concerned. Slash pairings, as stated above, are fine as long as they would/have/could ever happen on Show. (See, Ed/That poor dead intern) Sam/Dean is not one of those slash pairings.
We as mods have decided that we want this meme to be inspired by canon and generate writing that, were we getting paid, could actually BE canon. We aren't trying to start a war, so if this bothers you, feel free to pm us if you feel you must.
4) And the most important rule of all - HAVE FUN!!
