WHEEE! I finally get a chance to reply. Oh, dear remixee, it was not a dinky little story I was remixing here. It was an awesome piece of Henriksen fic which is greatly greatly needed by the world. I love that little ficlet.

I'm really happy to hear you like the remix. That was my biggest insecurity coming into this; that I'd somehow completely screw up the message of the original fic. I still want this sort of thing to become cannon because Henriksen out there hunting makes me all sorts of happy.

And thank you for that lovely starting material. This challenge was so much fun!

Liked the Latin ritual weaving in and out of the story. Nice job getting into Victor's head, and the conflict he has over what he's doing now and what his job used to be. Really enjoyed this.

Absolutely amazing. I'm not normally one for enjoying second person perspective, but I LOVED this. The character voice, the way he spends the whole fic fighting with himself, the parenthetical asides... beautiful!

Here, have some favorite lines, because I just adored these:
(Dean Winchester was never in the same place twice. But then again, Dean Winchester wasn't a criminal, was he?)

Demons are real and demons are evil and you wonder how many people you put away because of things wearing decent people's bodies like suits.

They are the tall tales of the hunter world, shrouded in mystery and dipped in pain. You hear doubts about Sam's humanity and rumors about Dean's death but no one knows for sure.
