Awesome. Completely and utterly awesome. I love how you've written young Dean here - full of adult responsibility, but rather powerless to do anything. I also love how the whole thing could be taken as nothing supernatural at all - that Dean was simply imagining Miss Eleanor as hurting Sam, that their dad simply got home early. I could see this as a weekend that Dean might look back on years later and wonder just what was happening there.

Great job. Now I must read the original.

Great choice for a Winchester bedtime story. After writing Goodnight Nobody, there were ten other books that I was like -- THAT ONE and such.
