boy are you grumpy. I like cross country skiing and sledding. my five year old spends all winter on a pair of downhill skis. There ARE good things about snow, but if you live in the south, you get all the hassles without any of the rewards.
I LOVE winter clothing...except for sweaters. seriously, until i moved here, i had no idea that you could put on clothing that would actually keep you warm outside. And hats are fun and cute and I never had a good excuse to wear them or make them down south. Here we crave the good dry snow...living in a rainforest and all, the good dry snow is the only dry weather we ever get.
Ok, I'll give you that. I do dig hats. Especially on women. I'd actually like to see it become fashionable again for men to wear hats, though I don't think I'd look good in one.
But yeah, hats are cute.
Winter clothing is so bulky, though, don't you think? And everywhere you go, you have to find a place to put it when you take it off. Of course, there are always opportunistic assholes that will give you a place to check your coat... for a fee. Ugh, that kind of shit just chaps my ass. Maybe they don't do that up there so much, seeing as how that stuff is mandatory for survival and all, but here, they are always happy to give you a place for your stuff at a price.
I'm just glad it's over now. There's still some remnants on the ground in shady areas, but for the most part, we are slush-free now. I'm sure the body shops and towing companies are disappointed, though.
